形態特徵

Perennial herb; stems elongate, creeping, rooting at nodes, 1-1.5 m long, much-branched, the branches slender, green, spreading, glabrous.
Leaves orbicular or reniform-orbicular, 1.5-2.5 cm long, 0.6-2.5 wide, rounded and apiculate at apex, obtuse or rounded at base, chartaceous, entire, 3-5-nerved, green above, pale-green beneath; stipules membranaceous, splitting into a few whitish setae.
Flowers pedicellate; pedicels slender, 2-5 mm long, glandular hairy; bracts scarious, oblong, 1-2 mm long: sepals 5, oblong, 3-3.5 mm long, green, with 2 faint lateral nerves and a strong white glandular-puberulent midrib, the margins white-scarious; petals oblanceolate, 3-3.2 mm long, bifid at apex, usually cleft to the middle; stamens 3-5; styles 3, connate at base, hairy upward.
Capsules ovoid, 2-2.5 mm long, 3-valved. Seeds 4-5, dark brown, 0.5-0.6 mm long, papillate.

分布

台灣 : low altitudes to 1,500 m throughout the island, roadsides and in thickets, very common.
世界 : India, Indochina, Malaysia, S. and W. China, the Ryukyus, Africa (Angola, Congo) and Australia.
